Rogers Place is set to get bullish.

The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canada National Finals is kicking off at Edmonton’s arena on Nov. 12.
“Lot’s on the line, not only the bragging right of being the national champion, but there’s $175,000 up for grabs for the bull riders to compete for over two nights,” said Jason Davidson, PBR general manager.
According to Davidson, that’s the largest purse for a national title race in Canada.
The bull rider gets eight seconds to ride and then jump off and get their score out of 100 with half the points for the rider and half for the bull.
The contestants have been competing all year long in PBR events and the top 20 are coming to Edmonton to see who’s the best.
This is the first time PBR has been back to Rogers Place since 2017 when they were in town for the PBR Global Cup but this is the first time the venue is hosting the Canada National Finals.

“The facility is second-to-none … to work with the OEG group and bring an event of this magnitude to the city of Edmonton is extremely exciting,” Davidson said.
The crowds can expect to see the top guys in North America matched up with handpicked bulls to perform over the two nights.
Davidson says it’s pretty satisfying after 19 months events without fans to roll into Rogers Place packed with people.
So what can that crowd expect at the event?
“It’s got the feeling of a rock concert to a WWE match to a freestyle motocross with pyro with music. It’s just a great two-and-half hours of action-packed bull riding, man versus beast action with a lot of entertaining elements,” said Davidson.
During the show between the action, Davidson said there will be a lot of fan engagement activations as well as a 50/50 draw.
Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result will be required to attend the event. Davidson said there will be testing at the doors.
“We don’t want anyone to miss this show, so we’re providing all the opportunities that we can,” said Davidson.
The event runs Nov. 12-13.
