
PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C.. _ University of Central Arkansas sophomore Camila Moreno is moved into a first-place tie after Day 2 of the Golfweek Fall Challenge being played at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
Moreno, from Bogota, Columbia, followed up an opening-round 69 with a 3-under 68 on Monday and is in a two-way tie with Campbell's Anna Nordfors at 5-under 137 with one round remaining.
UCA also moved up from sixth to third place by shooting a 283 on Monday, nine strokes better than Sunday's opening round, and stands at 575. Campbell (562) and Jacksonville State (571) are the only teams in front of UCA in the 20-team field.
Sophomore Pim-orn Thitisup is tied for 13th after shooting consecutive 72s for a 2-over 144. Junior Elin Kumlin made a huge jump from 43rd to a tie for 18th place after rounds of 75-70_145. Junior Karley Wittington is tied for 46th with rounds of 76-73_149, while junior Tania Nunez is tied for 48th (76-74_150.
The final round is set for Tuesday morning.
